My name is Tracy. I have cancer. Saying it out loud kind of sucks. Hopefully at some point soon I can say I had cancer. Why, you might ask, am I writing this book? Cancer can be a very frightening and hopeless thing. I belong to a support group, and I see story after story of people who have lost family, love, body parts, security, dexterity, energy, humanity... themselves. Cancer has taken all this from them. I am one of the lucky ones. I have hope. By writing, I hope to share my journey, share my story, and most importantly share my hope with others. Cancer is a scary word. I am living it. But I am also determined to be a survivor. Even if it kills me. This is my story. READ WITH CAUTION! This book is filled with hope, which can be extremely contagious.

I absolutely loved this book. From beginning to end, it was endearing and inspirational with touches of humour to lighten the mood. Many people would benefit from reading about the experiences and hardships that T.E. and her group went through as they battled cancer together. I enjoyed the way the author incorporated points of view from her peers as well - they were a welcome edition and a touching way to end the story.
In this book, TE Bradford shares her very personal experience with cancer. It is an uplifting tale, as she fights the battle and struggles with the effects of chemo as well as the inner battle against despair. With the support of family and her faith, she becomes a warrior. This book is a good reminder to all of us to keep up with the necessary medical exams, as well as the need to be our own advocates when it comes to wellness and health. The author refers often to her faith and belief in God, but not in a way that would drive off readers who are not religious. She also receives help from others in an online support group, underlining the importance of support from those who are also in the trenches battling cancer. This is not a depressing story, as Ms. Bradford relates it with courage and humor. Her voice shines through. I wish her the very best in her continuing journey.
Having lost a son to cancer, I know all to well the fear and turmoil that cancer can bring to a family. Tracy's courage in sharing her story and her determination in beating cancer come through loud and clear in this book. Her writing style invites you into her story on a personal level.
A simple book, faith-filled and unabashedly proud, written by woman compelled to share her cancer experience with others. Found the other survivors’ stories added at end of the book irrelevant and likely put in the book to try and make short book slightly longer.
